Dark Moon in Beith – January 2nd, 2022

Dear dear all out there,

You are used to me sharing my Moon messages with Full Moon. However, this year the Moon Messages are going to be a little different. For quite some time now it has not felt right for me to only share my Moon messages about her energy, the energy of Mother Earth and how you can use those energies for yourself with the Full Moon. Last year I sometimes shared my messages with the Waxing or Waning Moon and that felt good. That got me thinking. I like to work with the Wheel of the Year and the energy of Mother Earth. But I also like to work with the Moon phases and the energy of the Moon. So, I’ve decided to bring those two together.

What can you expect from me this year?

The year is divided into 4 seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. This subdivision can be found in the Moon phases: Dark Moon = Winter, Waxing Moon = Spring, Full Moon = Summer and Waning Moon = Autumn.

This year you will get:

• 3 Dark Moon Messages in January, November and December
• 3 Crescent Moon Messages in February, March and April
• 3 Full Moon Messages in May, June and July
• 3 Waning Moon messages in August, September and October.

In this way the message corresponds with the energy of Mother Earth and the respective Moon phase. I am curious what wonderful experiences this will bring for you.

Another change is that I’ve left the Archetypes behind. Every Ogham has his or her own Power Animals and they want to play a bigger role this year. I am happy to comply with that.

Dark Moon in Beith ~ January 2nd, 2022

Today the Moon is born in Beith ~ Birch. The Moon is not yet visible, hence Dark Moon. This Lunar Period in Beith is from January 2nd to February 1st. Nature outside is still deeply withdrawn into Mother Earth. Resting until Spring. Preparing for a new cycle of germination, growing, blooming and harvesting. Mother Earth asks you to do the same. You can think of this Lunar Period as a brainstorming phase. Let everything come to you. Plans. Dreams. Wishes. Intentions. Cherish all the ideas for the new year like seeds you want to plant later. Take stock and become aware of what you want to grow in this new year ahead.

Beith’s message

“I symbolize the end and the beginning. I am a true pioneer. After a calamity, such as a forest fire, I am the first to grow again. I prepare the ground for all the other trees. I am very strong, tough and give you confidence in your own abilities and your future. I invite you to climb all the way up to my peak. From there, you can see the new year from a higher perspective. Eagle’s message

Blessed and Happy Solstices♥

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the Year Wheel turned for the very last time this calendar year. We are now in the time of Alban Arthan ~ Yule ~ Midwinter ~ Christmas.

This is the time of the Winter Solstice and the Return of the Light. On the 21st of December we celebrated Alban Arthan. The shortest day and longest night of the year. After December 21, the days will start to lengthen again. It is an important turning point.

Until Alban Arthan everything was about letting go and the withering away of nature and that is now reversing. Now is the time to sow, build, grow and bloom. Although still in a very early stage, because these are dark cold times and it will take a long time before nature reaches its full strength, but the start is there. And we celebrate that with this first Wheel of the Year Festival of this new Wheel of the Year cycle.

This is the time of the Summer Solstice. All seeds have been planted, everything grows and is in full bloom and all we have to do is take care for and love all we are growing and blooming. In Summer, just like in Winter, we visit each other to spend pleasant time together, celebrate life and be together to strengthen bonds. Hence the many Summer festivals.

Waning and Dark Moon in Ngetal – December 2nd 2021

After a hectic week, my Moon Message at the last minute.

We are at 3% Waning Moon and just before the New Moon of December 4. It’s going to be accompanied by a Solar Eclipse, so that’s going to be an interesting one.

But, first we close this Lunar Period.

How you can do that?

We are currently in the Samhain Time. The Wheel of the Year is complete and a new Wheel cycle has started. This period is all about a final phase and the start-up of a new one. Nature has withdrawn and is resting deep within Mother Earth, preparing for a new Spring of life, growth and bloom. Nature needs this withdrawal to recharge itself energetically. Everything slows down. Animals go into hibernation. Winter’s Rest is a great time to free yourself from old things, old thinking or behavior patterns, to clean your house and to come to terms with yourself. In this way, preparations are made for the new things to come in the new Calendar Year and for Nature in Spring.

The Land Between

My dear dear all out there,

The World is in turmoil and so is our Inner World. We are all affected by the events and the measures taken by our governments. We are facing new measures here in the Netherlands and it has been occupying my thoughts. Apparently so, that when I drew my Card of the Day, it answered me with this beauty:

I asked the Cards what wisdom I could carry into today and The Land Between came out. And I totally relate to this card. At the moment it feels indeed as The Land Between. The card says the following:

“The process in between worlds is where things get really interesting. You learn how to manage your fear, how to stay present in the now, how to see in the dark. You absorb the lessons offered to you with grace, because you can’t go any faster. This is a real test of emotional fortitude, patience, trust, and humility. Once you have made this no-man’s-land your home, it will be part of you. Then whatever set in motion comes to life. This is what you’ve been waiting for. When you look back, you will grow to love the place ‘in between’, for that is where you were reborn.

With every Card of the Day I draw an Affirmation of the Day and today’s affirmation is the following:

The food for thought that comes with this affirmation is the following:

“My heart is open. I allow my love to flow freely. I love myself, I love myself, and others love me.”

The World is in an Interbellum, a time in between times, at the moment. And our society is facing great challenges and so are we. What is the World we would love to live in?

We are undergoing a change, a change from an industrial society to an technological society. And the sitting power is frantically trying to maintain its power. But, we all know what a cornered cat is doing, it makes weird jumps. Those jumps have become more and more hurtful in the sense of divide and conquer. But I express my hope here that eventually Love conquers all.

Reconnect with Love; within yourself, towards your family and friends and towards the World as a whole. Only when we act from Love, our World and our society will blossom again. So go within and explore what kind of world you wish to live in. And the see what little steps you can take in the outside World to establish your Dream World. The magic is in this process, because you know: once you believe, you will receive.

Dream the World you want to live in from Love
And act in the outer World from Love
Love is the Key

Kruidenwis or Herb Wis 2021

Last weekend I clearly got the message to really make my Herb Wis (Kruidenwis) and do the garden asap.

My new Kruidenwis feels very good.

All herbs are from my garden: Marigold, Rosemary, Lemon verbena, Catnip, Lady’s Bedstraw, Lady’s Mantle, and supplemented with Alder, Ivy and Holly.

Full Moon in Gort – Ivy

Today the Full Moon is in Gort ~ Ivy. This Full Moon is also known as the Hunting Moon. In ancient times, people hunted to replenish supplies for the Winter. You can translate this into chasing your dreams or chasing away whatever is in your way of achieving your dreams. Be inspired by Mother Nature around you. Life in Nature retreats to prepare for the coming Winter’s Rest, to return with energy and full of life in Spring. To arm yourself against the chaotic energy of Mercury in Retrograde

Dear dear All out there,

Mercury in Retrograde is great for helping you with reflecting, clearing up and the like. See my previous post for that. The fact remains that Mercury in Retrograde also comes with the necessary chaotic energy. And that energy can cause grumpiness, miscommunication, struggles and all those other ‘fun’ things you don’t want. And you don’t have to, because you can do something about it with the Water Ritual, Gemstones or Smudging.

Water Ritual

The day before Mercury goes into Retrograde, you can do this Water Ritual to ensure that the chaos and miscommunication associated with Mercury in Retrograde has minimal effect on your household. If it somehow fails to keep the ritual on that day, you can also do it on another day or when you have had enough of it, for example.

Purpose: to direct negative or chaotic energy into the glass of water so that it has no effect on you, your household or your office.

When Mercury comes out of Retrograde, wait 3 days before flushing the water from the glasses down the toilet or onto land (as far away from your home or office as possible) so that the water can be cleaned by Mother Earth .

What do you need:
A glass or glasses of water (or glass jars). I put one in every room of our house and yes, even in the bathroom.

How do you do it:
Do the ritual by the glass per room. Make sure that children or pets cannot reach the glasses of water to drink!

Grab a glass and say the following words about it:
Mercury in Retrograde
Trouble in a clear blue sky
Bringing chaos in your wake
Who knows when and who knows why

Mercury in Retrograde
Stay away from me and mine
Confine your energy to this jar
Until the planets realign

As I wish, so mote it be

Then place your glass in a safe place (where children and animals can’t reach it) and leave it alone until the third day after Mercury comes out of Retrograde.

As soon as I have placed the glasses in my house, I immediately feel the atmosphere change and become calm. We continue to have our miscommunications every now and then (my husband is a Leo and I’m an Aries, so yeah what can I say 😉 ), but once we realize what’s going on, we laugh about it and know enough.

It works wonders for me and I hope for you too.

Gemstones

Can’t you place water glasses because of pets or children or are you not into these kinds of rituals, but do you have gems? Then you can also place a bowl with gems in all rooms. To ward off chaotic energy and maintain balance, peace and a good communication, choose gems that:

• absorb negative energy, such as Snowflake Obsidan and Labradorite
• cleanse, such as Hematite, Black Obsidian or Tourmaline
• cheer you up, such as Citrine, Tangerine Quartz and Blue Chalcedony
• bring harmony, peace, love and balance, such as Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Rock Crystal, also known as the Golden Triangle
• ensure good communication, such as Sodalite
• helps with focus, such as Fluorite

Wait to remove the gems again until 3 days after Mercury goes straight again. Then clean them and charge them again.

Smudging

If you don’t want to do a Water Ritual and you don’t have Gems, but you do have Incense? Then you can also smudge your house daily or a few times a week during Mercury in Retrograde with Incense or a Smudge Stick.

A quick variant is the following. Grab a water spout and fill it with water and a splash of Florida Water. Shake well and spray your house with it. Also works wonders!

Mercury in Retrograde September 27th till Octomer 18th 2021

Dear dear All out there,

Hold on tight, here we go again, Mercury in Retrograde!

From September 27th to October 18th, we have Mercury in Retrograde. This time is a time to be careful. Be careful with communication as miscommunication is a high risk during Mercury in Retrograde. So if your email hasn’t been sent, just check it again 10 minutes later and you might be surprised to find that it was sent after all. Also allow for more travel time, as traveling can be a challenge during Mercury in Retrograde. Mercury is the planet that rules communication and travel and when this planet goes Retrograde you can be affected by it.

Mercury in Retrograde, what exactly is that?

It is the period when Mercury seems to be going backwards. Pure illusion, because of course planets cannot go backwards around the sun. Yet it seems so, because the earth moves at a different speed than Mercury around the sun. The energy associated with Mercury in Retrograde is definitely palpable, that’s no illusion. And if Mercury goes Retrograde, we’ll all be affected. Chaos, miscommunication and delays are part of this period.

But is it all doom and gloom?

No of course not! This is a great time to think, reconsider and refocus and also to cleanse, clear and reorganize. Something we are used to doing
during Autumn, when Nature lets go of everything, to get ready for the Winter Rest. We have the inspiring help of Mercury in Retrograde in this preparation this year. How beautiful is that!

To reflect

Mercury in Retrograde is a great time to look back at the year so far. What did you notice, what didn’t work and what can you let go of? Go back to the beginning of this year, when your year was 1 blank page, ready to be filled with your dreams, your wishes and your desires. If necessary, grab a pen and some paper. What happened to all your plans, dreams and wishes? What worked, what didn’t and why not? What are your thoughts on all this? Once that’s clear, go one step further.

Rethink

While reflecting, you have made an inventory of what worked well and what did not. Now pay all attention to what you still want to realize and achieve for the rest of the year. Think about the do’s and don’ts, and put the ‘can’t’ on your list for next year. Make an overview of what you still want to achieve this year, preferably with an action plan: starting moment, intermediate result and end result. This way you can monitor, adjust and know what to do when.

Reorientate

And when you have a clear picture of what you still want to achieve and realize this year, orientate and focus completely on that. If you notice that your focus is shifting to things that did not go well or did not go well, thank those things for the lessons given, let them go and focus again on what is working, what is going well and what you still want to realize this year. Always consider with complete, brutal honesty how committed you are to your goals and plan of action when things don’t go as planned or when you face difficulties. It will not always be easy and fast, but the motto is to continue and remain flexible, by bending when necessary and thinking in terms of opportunities and possibilities.

And so you can use the energy of Mercury in Retrograde to give you insight into where you are now and what you still want to realize or achieve before the end of this calendar year and what you want to leave behind with Autumn.

To clean up and declutter

Mercury’s energy in Retrograde also works extremely well when you want to clean up and declutter and you find it difficult, like me, to get rid of things due to nostalgic or sentimental value. Have you always wanted to try the Marie Kondo way? Then now is THE time to do that. Mercury’s energy in Retrograde helps you to clear and dispose of things more easily.

For me, the month of October is dominated by a reorganization of our house. The goal is to finally have my own space in the attic by the end of October. I’m definitely going to ask Mercury in Retrograde to help me with that. I believe we are already in the 3rd year that we want to realize that. To be continued shall we say😉
